My Favortite CD Of 2009

Being in my position I get to hear a lot of music from a lot of different artist. Some good some SUCKS....
But there is nothing better then when I get to hear a cd. Not just a track but a whole CD I can listen to track for track and love love love love love it. Play it over and over again. Its very rare you can find a cd with that type of track quality! People no longer aim for a whole quality project. They really go more for that hit single.... And whatever is "ring tone" wrothy. Me i got for that classic ish. That cd like Lauryn Hill Miseducation. I don't even want to say how many times i brought that cd. Its time to bring CD's like that back. The classics. I do believe Ozy Reigns has done that with his new project Exciting Times. Its crazy because he is giving away all this greatness for free. This is honestly unreal....

But please know trust and believe that just because you don't see it on tv, or hear it on the radio don't mean its not around. There are some strong female mc's out here doing major things. Ozy Reigns Ur Mines

So its no big secret that Ozy Reigns is one of my favorite MC's and he really put crazy thought into this track here. he took it back to the days of story telling. Like some of the greats. Slick Rick with a Childrens Story, Common I use to Love H.E.R., Dana Dane Cinderfella... And ur mines is no different. This track sounds more like a movie then anything. Its crazy! I don't know how he put so much drama in one track. And you will never see the twist in the plot coming... I listened to this track four times in a row the 1st time i heard it. Just to make sure I caught everything. This is mos def a new school classic.... Check it out... I promise its a CRAZY one!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night I went to one of my fav. mellow hang out spots "The Wined Up"! To hear a good band. And great poetry. When it happens. I find one of my new favorite If you have to put him in a box. I would call him a up and coming neo-soul artist. Ken J. Martin!!!! This guy is nice. Soon as I got home I had to go and download this track from him. Its called Beautiful!!! He is mos def someone you should look into!

This track from I.k.E Turnah is that heat! The video is hit or miss with me. But the song is mos def one you should put on your ipod/mp3! It sounds like a new school underground hit.
